Every year, thousands of churches around the globe participate in Operation Christmas Child, an outreach ministry through Samaritan’s Purse. The mission is simple: show God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world—and share the Good News of Jesus Christ. By packing a simple shoebox with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items, families here in our own community are helping deliver joy and hope to places that need it most.

Since 1993, more than 200 million shoeboxes have been delivered to children in over 170 countries and territories. Each box represents a powerful opportunity for local churches and ministry partners overseas to connect with children and their families through the gospel message.

📦 Get Involved This Year

• 🎁 Pack a Shoebox: Fill a shoebox with toys, hygiene items, and school supplies for a child in need. Consider including a note and photo to personalize your gift.

• 🙏 Pray Over Your Box: Ask God to prepare the heart of the child who will receive your gift and for the gospel message to take root in their life.
• ✨ Shoebox Packing Party: Join us at Mapes Church!
  Date: November 14 at 7pm
  Details: Bring your packed shoebox or pack one at the event. Don’t forget an appetizer to share!
• 📍 Drop Off: Completed shoeboxes can be brought to Mapes Church by November 16. Let’s fill the sanctuary with stacks of love!
